The market is overly saturated with various ECG Holter and HSTs devices. However, most of them require a manual data download. Every vendor tries to sell as many devices as possible without providing much further support to customers and real-time connectivity. As a result, customers end up using 2-3 different diagnostic solutions for each procedure, physicians have to switch between systems to view patient data, and scoring physicians have to wait for patients to return devices for data download.

Aidmed One

State-of-the-Art features, unique for the Aidmed One compared to existing market solutions include “zero-cables” policy, unique approach to ECG data filtering based on correlation with activity sensor and the ability to monitor Asthma and COPD intensity based on learned patterns. It is not possible to indicate any other competing solutions with these features as currently OSA/Asthma/COPD diagnostic market is populated with single use equipment, requiring using cables and without intelligent (ML-enhanced) signal processing.

Successful diagnostics and monitoring of COPD, Asthma, Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) and accompanying Heart Arrhythmia require holistic approach and collecting unique set of bio-signals from human body. These bio-signals include: airflow through upper airways, ECG, chest/diaphragm movements, body position and temperature, snoring sound level, blood saturation (SpO2), as well as heart rate and pulse wave. Such comprehensive data collected within one time frame, properly processed and interpreted can provide pulmonologists with ability to detect early stages of disease.

How do we work with Jeppesen

Jeppesen (a Boeing Company) has launched a joint project with Aidlab, where requirements from aeronautics was to adjust and improve existing solution. Jeppesen is using Aidlab in internal research programme to monitor pilots’ bio-signals during routine tests and training. Based on the monitoring and readings of pilots’ organisms (e.g. ECG, breathing) further analysis is performed, including the evidence-based decision making with regard to further testing and training programme.

How do we work with University of Eindhoven.

The University of Eindhoven research scope includes collective stress management. The approach taken in currently ongoing studies is based on sensing the individual user’s stress (ECG and HRV) and visualizing this information to a group of users (e.g. office workers) to give them a brief insight into the collective stress concept. This is done entirely through Aidlab, which later prototype may not only visualize stress but also breathing data (accelerometer data) to facilitate users' breathing training. Hopefully, this insight might raise awareness about the issue and inspire people to manage their stress, thus creating a healthy working environment.
