Measuring blood oxygen

Blood oxygen, often shown as SpO2, tells you what percentage of hemoglobin is saturated with oxygen. In Aidlab, this measurement is available only with Pulsoximeter.

Aidlab and Aidlab 2 do not measure blood oxygen by themselves. To see SpO2 in the app, connect Pulsoximeter.

How to take a measurement

1. Turn on Pulsoximeter and connect it to the Aidlab app.
2. Put the sensor on your index or ring finger.
3. Wait until the app shows a stable SpO2 value.

Keep your hand as still as possible during the measurement. Cold hands, movement, poor sensor placement, or no finger in the sensor can cause missing or unstable readings.

Requirements

• You are using Pulsoximeter.
• The sensor is placed correctly on your finger.
• The Aidlab app is connected to Pulsoximeter.
• Your hand is still and the reading has had time to stabilize.

SpO2 in Aidlab is not a diagnostic measurement. If a result is concerning or you have symptoms, consult a medical professional.
