Using the Pulsoximeter

Updated onMay 4, 2026

The Aidlab pulsoximeter measures blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) and pulse from your finger.

Before you start

  1. Charge or insert the batteries according to the device instructions.
  2. Make sure your finger is warm, clean, and dry.
  3. Sit still for a moment before taking a reading.

Taking a measurement

  1. Open the clip and place one finger inside the pulsoximeter.
  2. Keep your hand relaxed and avoid moving during the measurement.
  3. Wait until the SpO2 and pulse values stabilize.
  4. Save or note the result if you want to compare it later.

Tips for reliable readings

  • Remove nail polish or artificial nails if readings are unstable.
  • Avoid measuring immediately after intense exercise.
  • Repeat the measurement if the value changes quickly or looks unusual.

If the result is concerning or symptoms persist, contact a medical professional.
