Aidlab estimates calorie burn with a proprietary algorithm that combines heart rate, movement, workout type, and profile data.
The algorithm combines:
Combining these inputs helps Aidlab estimate activity intensity, not just movement, and calculate calorie burn while the required data is available.
The algorithm was developed and validated on data collected from hundreds of participants across activities such as walking, cycling, and high-intensity interval training (HIIT).
You can view your calorie burn:
The values shown reflect the time when Aidlab was worn and actively connected to your phone.
To enable accurate calorie tracking:
Missing profile data does not always block calorie tracking, but it can reduce accuracy.
If you don't see any calorie data:
Calories are calculated only while wearing the device and when heart rate is available. Historical data is available per day, but only for periods when Aidlab was worn.
